04, Methodology

How to read this report.

Where the data comes from Activated Insights (formerly Home Care Pulse), the numbers are independent: families and caregivers are interviewed by phone by a third-party research firm, monthly. We do not see who said what, and we are not in the room. The agency-by-agency benchmark is also produced by Activated Insights and is the cleanest cross-agency comparison the industry has.

Where the data comes from us, turnover, tenure, regulatory record, we report against public records (Texas HHSC) or cross-validated internal systems (payroll and HRIS).

We update this page in March of each year. The reporting period for the figures above is January through December 2025.
